HYT

H1 Velvet Gun

Probably the most unique watch that has ever come through my office. The HYT is a convergence of traditional horology and nanotechnology. The hours are indicated by a flourescent fluid that travels around the outside of the watch and is powered by the pistons and bellows that can be seen towards the bottom. At 6, the entire thing retrogrades back, the fluid retreating fully counter clockwise. It’s a stunning display and genius take on Contemporary Horology.

The “Velvet Gun” version is Titanium with a gray-purple coating that is just perfect for the watch: subtle but interesting. HYT just received a major cash infusion, is under new management by really smart people, and has already promised they will always support service for their legacy pieces, yet the market is still pricing these where it was when the company was nearly gone. Please note that the watch does have some wear, a few marks to the case and some light scratches in the AR coating of the crystal, I’d call it 88%. It certainly still looks great on the wrist and is an absolute steal at this price.
