Gyrotourbillon 1

One of the interesting phenomena in this world of so many watch releases is that a watch can shake up the entire horological world and still become super underrated in time. There is no better example than the Gyrotourbillon. Its multi-axis tourbillon inspired countless other brands, yet still be the best execution. And while that was the star of the show, many people overlooked that the watch also features a dual-hand retrograde perpetual calendar and running equation of time, all with an 8-day power reserve. The movement has over 700 parts and 117 jewels!

Unlike its massive younger brother (gyro2), it’s all housed in an incredibly wearable 43mm platinum case. I’ve dressed it down on a leather strap to make it the ultimate daily wearer. With all of the complication, it’s not surprising that its original retail price pushed close to $400k. This one has no box or papers and is offered at a small fraction of that.
