Urwerk

CC1 Black Gold

This is the big daddy ultimate URWERK. The CC1 was the culmination of a multi-year quest to create a truly linear time teller. Inspired by a one-off prototype watch made by Louis Cottier for Patek Philippe in 1958, CC1 (Cottier Cobra 1) is the most technically challenging watch that URWERK created. In the top window there is a running seconds that can be read linearly and digitally. Facing the wearer in true driver’s watch fasion, one finds the linear minute display that “fills up”, then flies back to zero as the linear hour jumps one forward towards 12. The case again is modeled after the Cottier prototype, but with classic URWERK flair including full sapphire side windows to see many of the unique mechanical elements. It’s not nearly as large as it may seem and wears easily on modest wrists.

Only 50 pieces were ever created: 25 in white gold and 25 in AlTiN black gold. They are rarely seen on the secondary market. This one is offered with box and warranty card
