105 was a replacement for the 103, upgrading to the brand’s newer design language. It wears similarly on the wrist, but with a much more futuristic look. It also incorporated later URWERK advances like the turbine controlled automatic winding system.

This version features the flip-up top, probably the coolest of the 105 innovations. The effect is to make reference to both the early 103s with closed tops and the later pieces from 103.03-.09 which were opened up, giving the best of both worlds. It’s almost an “URWERK’s Greatest Hits” all in one watch. And, like any good URWERK, it is just plain uber-cool on the wrist. It can be a daily wearer or an exotic supercar of a watch without missing  a beat.
