HM3 Sidewinder
It’s no exaggeration to say that without Horological Machine 3, MB&F might not be here. I was running MB&F North America at the time of the release. We were in the midst of the financial crisis and wacky watches from a new brand were a tough sell. HM3 was simply so good that even during a time when people didn’t want to spend money, we could not keep them in stock. It is likely still the most recognizable MB&F.
Originally offered in white gold or rose gold and Starcruiser or Sidewinder configurations, the follow-up models were almost all in the former config, making these Sidewinder pieces particularly rare. A WG Sidewinder, like this one, was actually my choice out of the whole collection. I wore one daily for years. MB&F has recently released production figures, and I was shocked to learn that only 38 of these were produced.
This one is unpolished, in fantastic condition, complete with box and papers.
